Captain’s Meeting at 9:00am. Games begin at 9:30.
Rules: PSP 5-man X-ball rules, available at www.pspevents.com league info.
Field: 2007 Sup’Air X-ball field. The field setups will follow the latest PSP setup, which will be available at www.pspevents.com. The field setup will be open and available to practice on at Splat Action every Saturday prior to the event (minus PSP weekends), as soon as the setup is released. This should give everyone some time to be able to practice on the field, or set up your own field to suit. The only exception to this rule will be the November tournament final. It will be an original design that will not be released. The tournament field will only be used for tournament play. What this means to you is that the grass will be perfect. Splat Action has set aside a piece of land that will be levelized and equipped with its own sprinkler system. The only time this land will be touched (aside from manicure work) will be for the 6 tournaments. The grass will be kept trimmed to between 4-6 inches in height to allow for more comfortable play.

If you are unfamiliar with the PSP system, all matches are played in brackets of 5 teams. All matches are played in the best two out of 3 games. This eliminates fluke games and usually guarantees the best team wins. This also guarantees teams a minimum number of games. You play a minimum of 8 games in the preliminary rounds and a maximum of 12. It really makes sure you get your money’s worth out of the tournament. Depending on the number of teams entered, and the team’s desire to play, either the top 8 teams will go into semi-finals, or the top 4 teams will go straight to finals. (Top two from each division). I would like the teams to vote at the captain’s meeting to decide how they would like to play after the preliminaries.
Pre-tournament practices will be held each Saturday prior to an event unless a PSP event is being held that weekend. Practices are open to any team who wants to come, regardless of tournament participation. The field fee is 10/per player for air and it is FPO at 40/case. If your team would like to come, please contact me ahead of time so I will know how many people are coming.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free. Either post here, or call me at 501-231-9091
Local hotel information will be posted at a later date. I am still working on discounts.
